Ace Vergel's Honda S2000 and Mitsubishi Evo VII

Back in early 2000 where the drag racing and street are still in, I usually saw this cool actor on the strips bringing either his Honda S2000, his Mitsubishi Evolution VII, or his Mitsubishi GTO — this is where I was so hooked up with this model.

I was curious back then that they are promoting I think that will be his last movie "Masamang Damo". Not into Filipino movie actually, but for the sake that maybe there will some "Fast and the Furious" thingie just bought a DVD.

Well, the only part on that movie that I like is this one clip, his Honda S2000 and his Mitsubishi Evolution 7 RS, enjoy!

Ok, I think Honda must offer this variant to their global market, when I am browsing for a Honda deals I came a cross on their page, I never thought they are going to release this variant, it is sophisticated though, the 2014 Honda CR-V Limited edition.

Taken from the base model of the 2014 Honda CR-V but the Limited edition offers features that the normal CR-V would not have, here are the those features:

Other features that offered as a standard are Satellite navigation system, and metallic paint.

All-New Honda CRV Diesel variant

We all know that Honda CRV is one of the most popular model that Honda and it's very common that it comes in a gasoline fed engine. What if I tell you that they also release a Diesel variant for this one, yes it is powered and running on a Diesel engine.

This Honda CR-V variant have two options, a 1.6 and a 2.2 engine displacement equipped with their i-Dteq technology — I think this is their i-Vtec version for their Diesel engines. If we are going to disect its horsepower, the 1.6 has a decent something around 118 hp and the 2.2 is around 150 horsepower, come on, we are not dealing with gasoline fed engines here, but what you need to look on this engines are their torque; well, very impressive that their 1.6 has a pulling power of 300NM while the 2.2 has 350NM of torque — now we are talking; and this variant is available in 2wd — running at the rears — and a 4wd layout.

And of course that there one thing that is very common with the diesel engines are their quite noisy when you start the engine, but if we are talking about torque and fuel-efficiency then I will set asided that noisy sound of the engine unless Honda will release an electric type CR-V or a Hybrid engine.

2015 KIA Soul EV - Your perfect urban car

We all know that living in urban-city traffic congestion is a very common thing during weekdays. Those fumes coming from the exhaust from vehicles that can cause climate change because of CO2 emission, at the same time consuming a fossil fuel which in the near future will be depleted — well, some motorist are aware on how much is the fuel per-litre.

Some automakers are moving forward in making vehicles running on electricity and moving away on fossil fuels which very expensive nowadays and not practical to use a car that is quite a guzzler.

KIA is one of the auto-makers that is producing fuel efficient vehicles by offering new technology to their vehicles, they introduced the KIA Soul EV or Electric Vehicle.

The KIA Soul EV is the first vehicle by KIA that is running in electric motor. Equipped with lithium-ion polymer battery as the source of its power that you can run this car more that 200 kmh on a single charge. Speaking of charging here, it is said that the charging time is 5 hours on a totally depleted battery — in short drain out battery — on a 240 or 230 volts wall outlet, or 25 minutes on a "fast" charge mode on a 100 kilowatt output.

So I guess this is a perfect urban vehicle for those stop-and-go situation when you are stuck on a traffic during rush hour — like going to the office or going home at 7 in the afternoon during weekdays?

Well, I am not particular with the interior of the vehicle because the interior is just ok though, what is important is that it will save tons of money for the owner and will eliminate expeneses in filling up for gas or Diesel.

The big question is that if this vehicle will reach the Asian market, the innovation is very promising even those ad hype that other internal combustion car can produce numbers but not near with the figure of this one, 200 to a litre on a single charge?

Well, if you are interested on this one, just go to your nearest KIA dealership or "Gray" market if they offer this one also.

I guess, this would be the reason why I am so hooked up with cars for all my life. Well, not this actual model but the the 80's 911 Carrera though.

Guess, if you are a car-junkie and so love motorsports, then this one will be on the top of the list among racing team. Porsche is already known for ultimate performance and reliability. On top of that, Porsche is the only brand that their engine was configured in boxer layout.

This 911 GT3 is the latest model from Porsche, it boast a whooping 475 horsepower revving at 9000 rpm; a top speed of more that 300 km/h, this is your best bet if you are a speed junkie — like me, still running on a boxer 6 engine layout.

The All-new Fortuner, Innova, and Camry Hybrid

Guess, buyers that are eyeing for Toyota will be happy when they are going to see the all-new Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner, and Toyota Camry Hybrid for Asian market.

Presented at 2014 Delhi Motor Show, Toyota displayed the next latest models on their vehicle line-up.

Besides the Toyota Fortuner, this model is one of the most profitable vehicles that Toyota made for the masses, in some countries they convert this as a means of public transport, which generate income for the owner — well I covered some of them on my previous post, just do a bactrack on it.

When I saw this picture, there is no difference with the current 2013-Toyota Fortuner, but this time the grills and the headlight are the madification on this model; overall still the same with the current model.

What I can say is that the latest release of the said vehicle are facelift and still use the same engine as the first generation.

The All-new Toyota Camry Hybrid

Ok, only thing that I can say about this model is that if you cannot afford to buy a Lexus hybrid? Then go for this model. It will save you amount of money for gas fill-up, well because it is a hybrid.

Also, I notice this one that it is similar to a specific BYD model, going to look for that though but that one will be a pure internal-combustion engine.

Well, what can I say, if you are interested to get those vehicle on your dealership, might as well ask a sales representative to provide you the information on when they are going to deliver those models to your region.

Car Photography Philippines: Toyota Celica - cycle 1

One thing that I love about Toyota is that they produced iconic cars and the 1970 Toyota Celica is not exempted. Considered as a muscle cars of Japan, the early generation of Celica have many variation and modification.

Cars like these is very rare to spot one running in the streets, but I was lucky to saw 2 of them, at the same time they are fully restored; guess the owners of this cars took sometime to find the parts and process the restoration of it.
