The all new 2014 Isuzu Alterra?

After the success of Toyota's Fortuner for the Mid-size SUV in Asian market, Chevrolet also launched their own 2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the market which also gathers some loyal customers and creating sales to the company.


Now, Isuzu is also going to this bandwagon by unveiling their own product to compete with Toyota's Fortuner and Chevrolet's Trailblazer, the Isuzu MU-X.

The Isuzu MU-X — also will be called 2014 Isuzu Alterra in other Asian countries — is one indicator that Isuzu take its step in the mid-size suv category which Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Trailblazer are dominating in this market, and at the same time this is definitely a replacement for the current Isuzu Alterra which is still sold in the market.


One that I was impressed with this vehicle is that the Isuzu offes two option for consumer; a 3.0 liter engine that has a horsepower of 177, and 2.5 liter engine that has a power of 136 horsepower; all are running on VGS Turbo — shall I say a VGT turbo?

So guys, if you are looking for a new vehicle here and you are looking for mid-size suv in the market, if you are patient, guess you can still wait on this vehicle to be officially release in the market.

Hope Isuzu Philippines will bring this to the Philippines right away & delay like their latest D-Max which is still 2012 based model.

2014 Toyota Prius C -Asian Market

Planning to buy a new vehicle but you want it a be fuel efficient as possible? No worries, from the manufacturer who pioneered Hybrid technology in mass market Toyota introduced their latest product for their Prius line, the 2014 Toyota Prius-C.


The upon seeing on the vehicle, the car made a major change especially the appearance. The 2014 Toyota Prius-C is now comes in small hatchback — "K" category — car which projected that it will be a more fuel-efficient & light compared to its predecessor.


Still equipped with the previous Hybrid engine that was used on the previous Prius. In my opinion, this model, will target consumer who are living in the fast-pace city living (Urban life) which the stop & go scenario is very common.

What I like also on this vehicle is that it will still assembled & delivered in Japan as a CBU or Complete Body Unit.

Toyota Prius C

Lexus LF-LC Asia

It stated that this vehicle will replace the SC430 in the future and it will compete with Nissan's GT-R & Honda NSX concept, but still running on Hybrid system which will maximized efficiency in terms of fuel consumption, the Lexus LF-LC.

Not yet confirm when the exact date of the production, however there is already an approval from its manufacturer that it will be for mass-production.

Power, luxury, technology, and efficiency will be the highlight of this vehicle; enthusiast and tuners will embrace new technology for automotives.

Toyota FCV-R Concept Asia

Toyota already dominates the Hybrid segment with their Toyota Prius-C in the market.

I'm happy that had a glimpse of what will Toyota will offer vehicles in the future that is not dependent on the fossil fuel which is the biggest issue of the industry, the Toyota FCV-R Concept.


The said vehicle will run on Fuel cell which is still under development. There's no information yet which engine type will be use, however we will be seeing this vehicle on the road in the future.

2013 Toyota FT-86 Turbo modification

Since Toyota launched their latest FT-86 as a Natural Aspirated boxer engine which some tuners are not happy and contented in the modification department — not bad though on a 200 horsepower though, if you are just like to have the vehicle and no plans to upgrade its performance.

I'm lucky enough that I spotted a turbo Toyota FT-86 which the owner cranks it to 260-horsepower — well, the owner did not go to edge of having a wild modification that cranks to 300-horsepower or more. Here's the video by the way of this modified Toyota FT-86 turbo.

One interesting vehicles that I encounter was the Articulated Bus. You can see this vehicle is other parts in Asia and Europe.

I have an opportunity to take a glimpse of this people mover vehicle on one event here in the Philippines, a perfect investment to those operator who has a franchise withing the city operation.
