Alaska Off-Road Warriors
Hey guys, if you are petrolhead who loves off-roading, I came across a reality shows which the contestants are off-roaders; the title is Alaska Road Warriors. The contestants is driving 4x4 vehicle which is built for tough terrain in Alaska. The price is a $100,000. What caught my attention is that they are using more of Toyota trucks like the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ55), Land Rover, and Willy's Jeep with a V8 engine slammed to it. Definetly anyone who loves off-roading will entertain you with this show.

Foton Motors: Foton's Big Show 2011
Heard this announcement when my Dad is watching Wil-Time Big Time; Foton is one of the advertiser on the said tv show. While walking along D-Tuazon in Quezone City, I saw a poster at the Carryboy office, again, announcement Foton that they an event on October 20 until 23 at the PICC, Forum 2.
I want to go there because I eyeing on their Foton View van, a main competitor of Jinbei Hiase, Toyota Hi-Ace and other vans in the market; and the Foton MPX which quite a buzz on local forums and at the same time to look on other Foton products that will interest the consumer or business. If you're planning to go there, I think you will not be lost because, a big billboard and tent are already outside the PICC premises.
Ok, I am already outside of the premises of the event, there are a test drive of their vehicles and an actual demonstration of contruction vehicles which they introduced to consumers; quite new to me though; you can only experience this is when you are attending construction expos; but still, its good introduction especially to those private companies for small and medium business, and entrepreneur that are not attending those kind of expos.
Inside, there are more vehicles which you can check the specification for your requirements and your needs. Here are some of the images of their vehicles on the said event.
Foton View (Main competitors are Jinbei Hiase, Toyota Hiace, and Nissan Urvan)
Foton Tornado 2 series (Main competitors are Jinbei Hammerhead FB, Mitsubishi Canter FB, Isuzu N-series, Hyundai FB H-100, KIA FB K-series, JAC Light Truck FB series, and Hino's 300 series FB)
Foton MPX (Main competitors are Hyundai Starex and Toyota Alphard)
Foton Mini-Coach Bus (Main competitors are Toyota Coaster, Mitsubishi Rosa, Hyundai County, and JAC mini-coach)
Foton Blizzard LCV (Main competitors are Toyota FX, Isuzu IPV)
Foton Construction Vehicles (Main competitor is Hyundai in term of price)
It is very apparent that Foton is more of a business-centric automaker compare to other competitor because of the vehicles they are offering to the market. In my opinion, Foton's View, Tornado 2, Mini-Coach, and Blizzard LCV will be a hot product especially in transport business segment; the price and the availability of the parts for their vehicles, and after-sales service will be a strong point of the company.
The event will be running until October 23, 2011. So if you are planning to invest a vehicle for your business maybe you can try to attend the said event.
