Importance of Shock-Absorbers

Ride quality, vehicle stability, and auto drivability—you can wave goodbye to all of these things the moment your car experiences shock absorber failure. But this shouldn’t come as a surprise to any vehicle owner. After all, shock absorbers are the vehicle’s best buffer against unnecessary suspension vibration.

You see, true to its name, your shock absorber is what “absorbs” or dampens the bouncing, rattling, and vibrating in your suspension as you travel over road irregularities. Now, once your car loses this particular feature, there’s nothing there to minimize suspension movement. That’s bad news for you and your passengers, because this time around, you’ll feel every single pothole and road bump your car drives over.

Now, this is also bad news for your suspension, because the loss of a shock absorber can affect your ride’s ability to stay in contact with the road. This, in turn, makes it a bit more difficult for you to stay in control of your ride as you travel over rocky terrain.

So the moment you experience a dip in your ride quality or suspension stability, schedule a one-on-one meeting with your shock absorbers. And if you notice oil leaks or torn bushings on any of your shocks, then replace that bad apple immediately!

Don’t worry, because replacing your busted shocks isn’t as bad as it sounds! You can readily find affordable and dependable replacement shock absorbers online. The best part is that there are a number of reliable websites out there who are willing to waive the shipment fee for your new shocks! Yep, you read right! Some sites offer FREE SHIPPING. So save up on gas money, time, and effort by getting your new shocks online.

Brembo 16 Inch Front Brake Kit 6 Piston Aston Martin Vanquish S 01-07

Vivid Racing is a key distribution partner for Brembo USA.  We carry many of the popular applications instock for same day shipping.  We have applications for the Porsche Turbo, BMW M3, Audi A4, Ferrari, Mitsubishi EVO, Honda S2000, Subaru WRX, and many more.  Brembo brake calipers can be custom painted or are available in their standard finishes of yellow, black, red, or silver with the Brembo logo.  All Brembo Big Brake Kits include the calipers, pads, lines, and rotors as needed for a true bolt on installation.  If you have questions to whether a kit will fit your car or with your wheels, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Vivid Racing has supported Brembo for a number of years.  Most recently, we have used and abused the Brembo big brake kit on our 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo.  In the past, we have not only used other brake systems from the competitors, we have tested them on the track and street.  Our experience is key to know why Brembo is better then the others.  Our other Brembo involved vehicle is our 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo.  This vehicle uses Brembo's new 2 piece floating rotor.  These rotors are a great upgrade to cars like Porsche that have large factory OEM Brembo brakes, but can benefit from a lightweight 2 piece rotor with McLaren hardware.

Brembo's GT (Grand Tourismo) brake systems combine the best of what they have learned through their dominance in professional racing, with the quality and longevity learned as a leading supplier to the top auto manufactures in the world. The goal was to provide a direct bolt on system offering race like performance with OEM reliability. The Gran Turismo philosophy is to achieve the highest level of performance with the lowest amount of maintenance and best possible longevity. The RACE systems follow the same direct bolt on approach, backed again with vehicle specific engineering, and now the highest level of race division componentry ever made available to the public. Their are many different applications available for vehicles.  Everything from 4 piston, the 6 piston monoblock, and even some 8 piston kits as well.  For those that require the ultimate in braking, Brembo's GTR (R meaning Race) systems can be custom built to the specifications required by the driver and vehicle.
