Australian V8: Drifting style

Thought that only Japanese and Americans can produce their drift style. Well, Australians also have their own style, as shown on this video, the powerful monsters from Australian V8 super cars displayed drifting when they are attacking the corners in wet surface. Definitely I love how they execute. Here is the video:

If any case that this will continue on their next race, it will create a new car culture.

Hi guys! Happy New Year to all of you. As the 2012 starts its engine, Mini is returning to the motorsports scene, participating in the 2012 Dakar rally, and at the World Rally Championship. We all know that Mini is already in the motorsports scene wayback in the 60's — in the RAC event, then pull its plug due to financial status of the company.

As the 2012 Dakar started, they sent four Mini Countryman with highly modified engines— A twin-turbo diesel-fed engine at whopping 315hp, how's that for a Mini —driven by top-gun drivers, one of them is my favorite and former Dakar Champion driver Stephane Peterhansel. Mini partnered with X-Raid motorsports and Monster energy drink. Here are some videos of the said vehicle and drivers.

Here are the technical specification of the vehicle:
Engine: Twin-turbo diesel
Power Output: 315hp at 4000rpm
Torque: approx. 700Nm / 1900rpm
Top speed: approx. 181km/h
Transmission: six-speed sequential gearbox
Length: 4333mm
Width: 1998mm
Height: 1966mm
Wheel-base: 2906mm

Here are some images of the vehicles:

Schumacher will not retire from Formula One

Spreading rumors around the Formula One scene that Michael Schumacer will retire from the season.

Despite the struggle this season, former champion Michael Schumacer will not retire and will race until 2012. The last race was very frustrating, as he did not finish the race with a broken transmission. Even hid teamate Nico Rosberg is struggling this season.

"I will be there,” said Schumacher, looking ahead to what he hopes will be a brighter 2012. “And the good thing is that I have a lot of support from all around, in particular from the company, in particular from the team, that they all wish me to be there, so I wish to be there, so I look forward to it."
