Lotus F1 team and 2015 Renault World Series race car driver, Marlon Stockinger, has been named as the official Mentor and guest judge of the finalist in the first Nissan GT-Academy Philippines.
"We are fortunate to have Marlon Stockinger on our side." Said by Nissan Philippines President and Managing director Antonio Zara, "His extensive racing experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the finalist in the Race week in August", as they compete with the rest of Asia's hopefuls in bringing home the honors of being the first Filipino GT Academy Asia champion. We are confident that, with his help, coupled with our finalists' drive to succeed. It is quite possible to see this dream come true.
An press-conference happend on June 25, 2015 at the Craft Pub and Grill; General Manager of Marketing SJ Huh announces that the Prince of Speed Marlon Stockinger is one of our mentors and celebrity guest judge at our GT Academy PH National Finals, at the same time, he officially announced that there will be a show that will be aired on ABS-CBN Sports and Action within the following months, focusing Nissan GT-Academy finalist.
The said event was swarmed by media from the motoring sector, motoring blogger, and important personalities.
"While I am happy to share my knowledge and experience in racing, nothing beats the determination and drive to suceed in this demanding sport. Remember, all my tips, all my coaching are for nothing if the finalist will not work hard to get the ultimate prize: winning the top spot, and being called the champion," Stockinger said.
