2012 Honda CRV - Japanese Version for Asian/European Market
Please be patient while the video is buffering.
Finally the official image and video of the Japanese version of Honda CR-V is already released. We all know that the US version was the first to be released their images, and the date of of the official release of their model will be next week. But, problem is, the said version will not reached the ASIAN showrooms which I think that we have a problem there, or if you are going to buy one, you need to go to the gray market.
Videos of the 2012 Honda CRV - US Version
(Please be patient while the video is streaming.)
2012 Honda CRV Japanese Version
Honda did modification on the vehicle especially its design — The aerodynamics. Times like these where fuel-efficient is the name of the game; Honda lowered the overall height of the 2012 CRV body, a smooth appearance of its front, and a new tailight was very apparent on this vehicle — to eliminate drag or resistance that may cause additional load to the vehicle. The design was tested on a wind-tunnel which is also used by the Engineers in Formula-1 when developing the bodies of their cars. It is very apparent that if you saw an actual 2012 Honda CRV, the first impression would be that the vehicle is small. But, don't be deceived because once you are already inside you will be amazed that the interior is roomy — Same concept in the 2012 Honda Civic.
2012 Honda CRV Japanese Version — Engine
The vehicle comes with two engine option. The first one would be a 2.0 liter front-wheel drive — R20A Engine —and a 2.4 liter all-wheel drive — K24A Engine; if you are going to use this one for city-living, I'll choose the 2.0 liter engine. Quite dissapointed though because I'm expecting a new engine from Honda that they will introduced on this model — Like a diesel engine? But, a CVT or Continuous Variable Transmission is offered only in the 2.0 engine, compare to the 2.4 that still offers an automatic transmission — Kinda gas-guzzler for me though.
2012 Honda CRV Japanese Version — Features and Amenities
One thing that I like about this vehicle is the push-start key button as a standard — as if you are inside of a racing car and a sleek design on its dashboard.
I hope that Honda Philippines will bring this model "as-is" No strip-down of accessories and going to sell them separately. I'll also recommend to hold your budget if you are eyeing for a new CRV, just wait for this model to arrive in showrooms and not to be fooled by the sales-agent that they have already the 2012 Honda CRV in which they fail to deliver, all just a promise just to cope up with their sales.
Happy Shopping for a new vehicle!!

2013 Honda Jazz / Honda FIT EV - for asian market
Well, in terms Hybrid technology, Toyota dominates the asian market with their Toyota Prius hybrid. Honda did make its counter-attack with any car model; even the Honda Civic hybrid did not pacify the demand of its competitor in terms of sales. Now, with rising cost of fuel, Honda will be producing a hybrid on their one of their model Honda Jazz or Honda Fit in other countries.
This is the image of the Hybrid version of the 2013 Honda Jazz/Fit. Minor facelift from the present 2010/2011 Honda Fit/Jazz — What's going on right here, does Honda are lacking talents on their car-design department? Do they have any new idea on their new car? Anyway, the motor on this EV model will be based on their Honda FCX which is sold in other countries. Technology will be based on their Honda CR-Z which is sold in the US.
On this model, Honda are focusing on the eco-friendly materials especially on the upholstery department.
The Honda Jazz/Fit EV, will be equipped with a Telemetric System that you can download or link to your smartphone or phone — Wow! A telemetry system on this car, they got to be kidding; so there will be analytics whether the driver is making a hard press on the gas through bar graphs or something, driver will be having a hard-time to analyze on this one. A connection also on your computer will detemine the status of your batteries or the power level of the batteries.
How if this will be materialized, hope they made it simple just like systems used on Hyundai and Isuzu; and one more thing is I wish that the door handle will be more friendly.
Hope the Honda Motors Philippines will bring this model to the Philippine Market.

Honda Cars: The Official Image of 2012 Honda City from Honda Motors
I assume that the 2012 Honda City has new features and amenities, eventhough that this will be a facelift version. When Honda officialy launch the 2012 Honda City I am quite dissapointed because, the details that they did on the prototype did not push-through on the official version of the car; thought that the headlights will have a different theme or design, but they retain the design from the older version of the Honda City.
Recent change made on the car are only the designs of the front bumper and grille, tail lamps, alloy wheels, and the cabin they are more sportier than the previous version.
I would suggest that if you are planning to buy a brand new Honda City, I will keep first that money and wait for the official release of the 2012 Honda City. Quite dissapointed though if they will increase the price of this car.

Honda Motors: All-New 2012 Honda Civic Asian Version
Last month I posted the 2012 Honda Civic for European Market, which, I think you can buy it through gray market. I am hoping that Honda Motors will provide the Asian Market with a All-New Honda Civic. But then again in one month, I received a news that Honda already released the 2012 Honda Civic for Asian Market.
I was so curious because what is the new stuff and features that this Honda Civic is different from the previous version, which is a minor change in tail-light and front grille.
So there it was saw the 2012 Honda Civic, the first impression about the car is; the design is similar to US version of the 2012 Honda Civic. They made kinda boxier on the aesthetics, similar to the facelift version of the Honda Jazz. On the rear, its very similar to the Honda Accord, small version that is, and the front taken also from the Honda Accord also.
On the engine department, the 2012 Honda Civic will have two options; one is the i-VTEC 1.8-liter engine which will provide a maximum horsepower of 130 to 140 horsepower, and the other one is a i-VTEC 2.0-liter engine which produce a 150 horsepower; they are using a R series Honda engines again; thought a new engine series is gonna be release on this model. From I observation, that Honda is focusing on the fuel-efficiency of their cars, because of the rising of fuel in the market. Automatic and Manual transmission are available on this model.
If you are planning to buy a new Honda Civic, I recommend that you hold first your money and wait for the new 2012 Honda Civic, which will be sold to dealership. As you can see this is the exact image of the 2012 Honda Civic.

Honda Motors: 2012 Honda Civic Euro Version
Since Honda in the US already unveil their 2012 Honda Civic to the consumer; at the 2011 Frankfurt Motorshow, Honda unveil their 2012 Honda Civic for European Market. In terms of image, the 2012 Honda Civic Euro version is more aggressive compared to the simpleness of the US version 2012 Honda Civic. The sporty design of the car and the fender flares prevail on the car compared to its US version.
The front of the 2012 Honda Civic is quite similar to the front of the first generation Honda Civic FD, asian version, with the touch of the "angry look" on it. The designers of these car stated that they made a change; they lowered the height by 20mm, increase the width by 10mm.
On the exterior part, they made it more muscular, it is more a wind design type that is also used on the 2011/2012 Hyundai Elantra, which has a European standards; redesign the side-mirror for better airflow, the improved drivers visibility, and the rear window was lowered for the convenience of the driver when looking at the back.
The designers want their consumer leave an impression, that if they will see a the new Honda Civic on the road; the looks is compact and sporty, but if they are inside of the car, the interior is very spacious; same concept on the new Toyota Corolla Altis. Honda also focus their euro version Honda civic on the quality aspect; same principle used by Hyundai on their cars, as they focus on the quality and not having a plastic feeling once you get inside of the car.
The euro version of the 2012 Honda Civic will be available on three engine option for the consumer; 1.4 or 1.8 liter for the gasoline and 2.2 for the diesel variant. Six-speed manual transmission is available and a special five-speed for the 1.8 variant, a potential racing car in the future?
I hope the Asian version will also suprise their market with new engine and features, not a another facelift version compare to the present model.
